Welcome!
Little Mountains is a social project, championing creativity as kindling a better world.
We hope to reconnect people to their own vitality. We invite both adults and kids to play, to make, to imagine, to be silly, to ask questions, to connect, ponder, wonder & say what’s on their mind. We believe that our ability to create – individually & together – is our human superpower.
In a world fuelled by climate disasters, social divides, democratic erosion, sickness, tragedy, economic stressors, fear and grief, we want to embolden the playful, curious & self expressive children in all of us. Because, they are likely the ones most capable of handling even the big things.

A Bit About Me.
My name is Matisse, I am a mother, daughter, wife, sister, friend, writer, entrepreneur, and lover of life. In no particular order.
I was raised on a beach in Fiji and from beading bracelets to writing silly songs, I have spent most of my days creating in some form or another. I have also spent a lot of time trying to understand and contribute to solving some of the world’s biggest problems (from working at NGOs committed to tackling the climate crisis, to a diplomatic agency tasked with fixing economic inequities).
I came to realise that my ability to do the first, with childlike enthusiasm, made me capable of the second.
I believe that peace is created piece by piece, community by community, idea by idea (& the best ones are usually quite colourful). Xx
